HIGHEST DENSITY EXPANDING FOAM AVAILABLE FOR POLE SETTING
At 5.2 pounds per cubic foot, Secure Set is the highest density polyurethane foam available for use in backfill operations.
Higher density translates to higher stability ensuring that what you put in the ground stays upright and in place.
Moreover, the foam creates a solid bond with the pole and soil, resulting in enhanced foundation strength while also protecting the pole against water, groundline rot or oxidation.
Secure Set is the
leading
high-density expanding foam used to set and straighten utility structures.
STURDY IN 15 MINUTES. CURED IN 60 MINUTES.
- Combine both components into the mixing bucket
- Attach the mixing wand to a drill and mix the components to a creamy consistency
- Pour in the hole
- Secure Set will expand rapidly to 18 times its original size.
- Support structures can be removed in 15 minutes and the pole will be fully set in 60 minutes.
- Your line crews can move on to the next pole or project.
INNOVATIVE PACKAGING DESIGNED FOR EASE OF USE AND STORAGE.
Product packaging was designed for easy shipping, storage, field transportation and use.
Each kit is comprised of a plastic shipping/mixing pail, 2 unique plastic jugs, a high speed mixer and an instruction sheet.
ADVANTAGES

- Increases productivity, lowering costs
SEE HOW EASY IT IS TO USE SECURE SET COMPARED TO CONCRETE
What does it take to set a communication tower in a 28" x 60" hole?
Working with a company that installs communication towers, we installed two towers, one using concrete and the other using Secure Set.
The Concrete Installation
For the concrete installation, thirty one bags of concrete were required to fill set the tower base. That's 2,480 pounds of concrete!
This required using an electric mixer and having a water source available. Something that isn't easy to accomplish in remote settings.
It took about 2 1/2 hours to set, and required 24 hours to harden before the rest of the tower could be installed.
The Secure Set Installation
By comparison, the second tower base was installed with Secure Set.
We used two 5-gallon Secure Set kits plus a little more. Total weight was less than 100 pounds.
No dust, no heavy bags, no large mixer, no water required.
With Secure Set the hole was filled in 27 minutes.
In addition to the initial time savings, just one hour after setting the base, the crew could install the rest of the tower. This saved the crew a significant number of man hours, travel time and equipment rental time.
In this 14 minute video, we show the installation of two radio towers - using both concrete and Secure Set. Then we performed two separate tests of the Secure Set foundation. In the first test, we determined the amount of wind load the tower could withstand. Secure Set exceeded ANSI standards without fail. The second test determined the amount of uplift force required to dislodge the foundation.
SECURE SET IS
BETTER THAN CONCRETE
- No lifting heavy bags
- No backbreaking tamping
- No water required
- No alkalines to leach into soil
- Protects galvanized poles from alkaline induced corrosion
- Moisture impervious
- Stronger than concrete and won't deteriorate
- Protects pole against rot
- Protects soils against preservatives
- Cures in an hour
